The Dover Community Workshop is a paid member of “Our Community.Com.au” which alerts us by email when grants that are suitable for our situation are opening. This website has prompted us with many opportunities over the year and it is now time to renew our membership. The $85 charge in my opinion is well worth outlaying. Just recently it prompted me to apply for a grant from the RACT and also the opening of sponsorship by Helping Hands which is available from Huon Aquaculture.
I received the notification in todays mail for renewal along with, I’m pleased to say a letter from Huon Aquaculture stating that we have been successful with our request for $600 for a better dust collection system for the workshop.
Yet again Helping Hands (Huon Aquaculture) has shown their willingness to support community organisations such as ours. In the past they have helped us with $1000 for the restoration of La Chaloupe and $887 for a Mig welder with accessories for our hot works extension and now $600 for a double bag dust collector from Moonah Machinery.
Meryl Moscrop is busily setting up our website and has even a more taxing task of teaching me how to use it. Hang in there Meryl
